7 Things a Dead Samurai Can Teach You About Wing Chun

In today’s show Mike and Scott discuss a book they have both read more then once:

The Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi

Musashi was a swordsmen from Japan who died more then a few hundred years ago… Despite being from a different style his marital art theories can most certainly teach you how to Wing Chun. His martial arts theory’s and concepts can be applied to ANY marital art style as well as every man or women’s life style.   Interestingly enough, his book is famously known for Japanese businessmen “preparing for battle” against one another. We are not suggesting these men and/or women would actually fight one another, but rather they took taking down competing markets very seriously.

His book is split into different sections, each chapter representing a different element (earth, fire, wind, water, etc).  In this particular episode  Mike and Scott randomly pick at the sections they liked the best and more closely applied to Wing Chun.
